AlevaBot
About the Aleva web crawl
Once a month AlevaBot reads the public files that describe a website to search engines and AI agents, to build open datasets about the Swedish web.
How to recognise it
AlevaBot requests with a fixed User-Agent:
AlevaBot/1.0 (+https://aleva.se/crawler; abuse: [email protected]) What it reads
- robots.txt and the sitemap it points to
- llms.txt and /.well-known/ files (security.txt, MCP, UCP, agent cards, OpenAPI, and more)
- ads.txt and other conventionally-public root files
- DNS (MX, SPF, DMARC) for mail configuration
What it never does
- reads only conventionally-public files — never secret or unlinked paths
- never calls a tool on an MCP server
- submits no forms and never logs in
Opting out
