Data licence and terms
Aleva publishes Swedish public data. Each dataset carries its own licence, shown with every API response
(_meta.license) and in the registry at /v1/_registry.
These terms explain what applies and how to use the data well.
Per-dataset licences
Most source datasets come from public authorities under their own open licences (often CC0 or CC BY 4.0); we pass those through unchanged and name the source. Where a dataset is Aleva's own compilation, its licence says so. Always follow the licence shown for the specific dataset you use.
Attribution
When a dataset asks for attribution, show the text in _meta.license.attribution
(also the X-Attribution response header) wherever you present the data.
Aleva's own datasets and the database right
Some datasets are Aleva's own compilations — for example the monthly survey of websites' public files and DNS. The individual facts are not owned by anyone, but the compilation represents substantial, ongoing work and is protected as a database (EU Database Directive 96/9/EC; in Sweden, upphovsrättslagen 49 §). For these:
- Use them through the API, within the published rate limits.
- You may use and show results, with attribution to Aleva (aleva.se).
- Do not extract or re-publish substantial parts of the dataset in bulk, or build a competing copy of it.
- Need bulk access or a commercial licence? Write to [email protected].
Some aggregate views of these datasets are published openly under CC BY 4.0; where that is the case, the dataset's own licence says so, and those open terms govern that view.
No warranty
The data is provided as is, without warranty. Check the fetch date
(_meta.data_fetched_at) and the source before relying on it.
